A European digital transformation company runs its professional services on Certinia PSA. Over time the platform had grown into a dense web of integrations, code quality was uneven and releases were manual. The work was to bring the landscape under control and make change safe again.

The situation
- Certinia PSA sat at the centre of more than ten connected systems.
- There were more than 30 data and process touchpoints between them.
- Custom code quality was inconsistent and the release process was manual.
Constraints
- With more than ten connected systems, a change in one place could affect integrations elsewhere.
- Uneven code quality and a manual release process made every change riskier.
My role
- Led the refinement and optimisation of the Certinia PSA integration landscape.
- Established a CI/CD pipeline with Hutte and GitLab, including automated code and Flow quality checks.
- Reviewed all custom code to improve maintainability, deployment efficiency and reliability.

Automate the quality gate
Code and Flow quality checks run automatically in the pipeline, so problems are caught before deployment instead of after.

Source-driven releases
Moving releases into GitLab and Hutte replaced manual deployments with a repeatable process the team can run.

Review every custom component
Reviewing all custom code gave a complete picture of maintainability risk, rather than fixing issues one incident at a time.

- Refinement and optimisation of the integration landscape across 10+ systems and 30+ data and process touchpoints.
- A CI/CD pipeline with automated code and Flow quality checks, established with Hutte and GitLab.
