Integration Architecture

Most Salesforce failures are integration failures. I design how Salesforce exchanges data with ERPs, HR, core banking, marketing platforms and data warehouses — who owns each record, how it syncs, how errors surface and how it is secured.

When you need this

  • Salesforce needs to talk to an ERP, PSA, HR or core banking system and you need a clear pattern.
  • Duplicate or conflicting data keeps appearing across systems.
  • Your middleware team and Salesforce team are designing in isolation.
  • Integrations break silently and nobody notices until a customer does.

What I do

  1. 01Define systems of record, data ownership and synchronisation rules.
  2. 02Choose integration patterns (request-reply, fire-and-forget, batch, event-driven, data virtualisation).
  3. 03Design authentication and authorisation (OAuth flows, JWT, named credentials).
  4. 04Specify payloads, field mappings, error handling, retries and monitoring.
  5. 05Work alongside MuleSoft or middleware architects to land the design.

Relevant experience

  • Led the refinement of a Certinia PSA integration landscape spanning 10+ systems and 30+ data and process touchpoints.
  • Designed integration strategies between Certinia PSA and SageHR via MuleSoft, and between Certinia PSA and Microsoft Business Central.
  • Designed the integration architecture across Financial Services Cloud and 5 external systems for a Canadian credit union.
